The Rediscovery Series

Unearthing the musical legacy of underrepresented composers.

Founded in 2020

About the Project

The Rediscovery Series is a transcription and arrangement initiative dedicated to amplifying the works of historically underrepresented composers. Launched during a period of global reflection on diversity and equity in the arts, the project addresses canonical omissions by bringing award-winning yet often overlooked compositions to the forefront for both school and professional ensembles.

By adapting these innovative works for the modern wind band, the series has expanded the wind band’s repertoire, ensuring these vital voices are heard on premier stages across the country. The project has rapidly gained international acclaim, with its arrangements having been performed by leading conductors and top-tier ensembles worldwide. Serving as a catalyst for dialogue and progress, The Rediscovery Series enriches the musical landscape by introducing audiences and performers to a more inclusive and resonant canon.
